Something to ponder. The poor Afghans. They deserve better. She looks as if she has been through hell and back. Sigh. And we just complain about the cards that was dealt to us. May God have mercy on our souls.

A Sad Day.

I would like to express my sincere condolence to our dear Prime Minister's on his wife's passing. I guess we do not know her as much as the previous first lady but I really look up to her for being by the hubby's side despite her illness in the past couple of years. It must have been really tough putting that brave face.

Lets observe a minute's silence if you read this for the first time. Al-Fatihah.

Whoa. News? What news?

Sometimes one ponders how things will turn out in the end. Do we ever know. Sometime we can plan for some things. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it does not. Sometimes we never plan anything and things happen too.

In this case, no plan and hence there should be no problems in whatever happens. Now given the situation, what's the plan? No plan? Hmm, not likely to succeed without a plan. [Heh. how obvious is that statement?]

People around me are just sooooo busy. Meetings after meetings. Sometimes, I laugh. I associate the things around me with some of the reality tv shows that I watch. Its quite bizzare. Its fascinating, fun etc. There are also plenty of downsides. One of them is that you cannot switch it off and watch later. You cannot NOT participate. You it. Its a game of survivor, amazing race and the apprentice roled into one. Enjoy the ride. What else you gonna do? Jump off the rails and er... die?

God's Revelation

Tonight, while praying Terawikh at my mom's house, I had an epiphany. It was almost an outer body experience. Its almost as if I made a deal with God. That's scary. Really scary but very calming at the same time. Maybe one day I will get the guts to tell you what was that all about.

The Quran is God's words. Its the final chapter of a series of guidance sent to us. We will have no excuse not to go read it - and understand it. So, forget reading all those books you read. This should be at the top of your list. Even if you are of a different faith, there really is no harm in reading it. Our life on earth is but one day in God's. The night is our stay in our graves and tomorrow is judgement day. So start early. Hopefully I will. I do not understand, why most people, including yours truly do not live by this book. I hope I can become a changed man moving forward. Its like cigarettes I guess and not many can really follow through. This is the challenge I give myself.

I think most people will read a book thrown down by an alien from the sky than God. Such is faith these days.
