Its been a while since I said anything.

Yes. Its true. A while since I updated this blog. I guess the topic of today is essentially what is "top of mind" at the moment - an opportunity to change the course of my career and life, and of course not without risk.

The current

The current job is prestigeous enough. Being a partner of a big 4 firm is pretty cool. The drawings are good and the job is reasonable. I don't come back late at night even though I just continue with work after dinner - at least its from the comforts of my home. I made my contribution to the revenue numbers and met my annual target within 3 months of joining and the bar is constantly being raised. Nothing bad here. All is good. Deals keep coming and thats good for business and subsequently of course, good for me.

The challenge

I guess the challenge that its not challenging enough. Somehow doing deals that, in my opinion "duh" is hard for me to bear. Yes, its true, some deals are more complicated that others and the chase can be exhilirating but for the most part, quite dull - even if I win.

The other part is that the team that we have really do vary in capability and naturally the good ones are always taken. In the end, I have to do the deck myself and causes me to sleep late at night sometime though I do enjoy doing it once in a while. Just not all the time.

Finally, I guess, is always a question of leadership. I am a leader and sometimes its very hard to keep the discipline of follow the leader when you know they are making mistakes, and of course, typically do not want to listen to anyone anyway. I can be a little bit like that but I influence people to change their minds rather than bark out orders. We do not have natural inspiring leaders where I am and it is frustrating. I can contribute a lot more to the success of the firm but hey, as I am already a Partner, whatla to do next. This is unfamiliar territory for me. In MNCs, you can outperform your boss and you eventually end up taking his job - he either gets fired or moves on to another role in the organization. In a Partnership, this kind of thing does not really happen, so I guess I am stuck.

The need

I need to lead. I need to share ideas. I need to drive people to success. I have the urge to change the world. I refuse to accept status quo. the entrepreneural side is growing in strength and eventually will be hard to resist. Its like an addiction. An addiction to take total control of your destiny. I want to shine like a bright star in the sky. The north star - key to ensuring that travellers never get lost at night. I want. I must. I will have to.

The solution?

So, now a bank has approached me twice. One with a very senior role that leads more than 7k people. Unfortunately, the role was too inward looking. I declined. I will never get to where I want by doing things I do not enjoy - coz you never do it properly.

Recently, they came back a second time. Less senior in my opinion but will also be an MD of a subsidiary company plus looking at strategy. This sounds very interesting indeed.

More thoughts in my next entry. Watch this space.

No nudity please...

From the Star Online today...

SIN Chew Daily reported that a make-up artist is living in fear that naked pictures of her would be posted online by her former boyfriend.

The victim, in her 20s, had earlier confronted the man after her jewellery went missing from her house. She believed the man, 29, could have stolen the items without her knowledge.

During the confrontation, the man threatened to expose the nude pictures if the victim lodged a police report.

They were staying together prior to their break-up recently. The man had moved out of her house last month.

Haiyo. Gals, just stop taking nude pictures of yourself. NEVER take sex videos either. It NEVER ends well. Ok? But if you want to share with KWSP, go ahead and wait for me to criticise your performances or bodies or whatever! No, actually - don't share. It's just not worth it. Especially when Superwoman hangs my fur for wall decoration. Hehe.

Okay, seriously whyla people do it? After all these years of similar newspaper reports etc it still happens. Ini bukan Melayu mudah lupa, ini perempuan mudah lupa. No?

Its not H1N1 flu. Its H1N4 flu.

Wah. I read that all the authorities are scrambling to HUNT DOWN the members of various flights. Its a bit like the movies I suspect. As the Metallica song goes...

"Seek and Destroy"

Seems a bit like that. Kesian. Now people get quarantined. Get locked up in hospital cages. Get hunted down like animals. The only thing is...

"You monkeys! Don't you have their individual details on their flight tickets?"

Malulah! As if Malaysia is so big. And those people on board those planes, trains and automobiles, TURN YOURSELF IN DAMNIT!

And those who don't feel well, please go to the doctors quickly. We have to save the world here folks. Afterall, aren't we all SUPER HEROES? Heh.

Like I said, its not H1N1. Its H1N4 ("Hina"). *LOL

Much better today.

Today was good generally. Recovered from yesterday. Managed to do good with client CEO. Thank goodness.

Today was... tough

Well, today I did a workshop for one of my clients. The problem of workshops is that quite frankly ANYTHING can happen. It started well, was building strong momentum then I screwed up in the end. CEO pun complain.

Sigh. Nobody is perfect. Especially me. His comments hurt but I guess the situation can be recovered. Its a bit like golf. Just because you screw up a hole, does not mean you will the next - but it's always in your mind and will only go away once you hit a birdie. So lets hope the next hole is a birdie then. I am suffering mentally right now. Must get over it quickly.

Pole Dancing

Okay, honestly "Come on! It could be better"

And only one of three could actually do it.

All three tak cun.
All costumes suck.
The songs that came with it was terrible [more on that later].

"I cannot believe they were MALAY!"

News Flash: Butterfly said "For a practical person, you are soo dramatic Papa Bear"

I need to headline this coz everyone should know.

If I don't write like a tabloid, WHOla would come read this blog. Hehe.

Jeff? Was it Jeff? The man with the Gucci Loafers?

Ok. For that so called "cute" guy. 2 questions really:

1. Is he straight?
2. Are his mad white Gucci loafers Ori?

Let me talk about topic #1.

Firstly, there were two girls at his table. It seems that they hoped that he would be interested in them. In fact at many occasions, the mamak looking one was asking the short haired girl to leave. "Lets golah". He HARDLY interacted with them throughout the night.

Secondly, he was partying more with the Filipino entertainers from the Hotel. He did not party with the other 2 Filipino girls from that entourage.

Thirdly, when Pitbull's song came on, he was dancing with the Filipino MEN.

Fourthly, he had mad fantasies about THAT dancing pole.

Finally, which straight man wears WHITE GUCCI SHOES?

Topic #2

I have searched the entire WWW universe for those loafers. Cannot find them anywhere:

- Its certainly not on Gucci's website.
- It was not on any luxury reseller website either.
-
Could not find it on eBay or Lelong or iOffer.com or even Google.
- Gucci does not make THOSE types of loafers with an open back.

So, it's either a complete original just for him OR you go figure. I did find one close though, and its not an Ori.

Sorry dude. I found this on ioffer.com for RM 170 plus postage.

Pixie's Lesbiansm

Ha! Dahla pakai baju sports. Pakai Jeans. Collar up. Rambut Pendek. Hisap rokok. Then you oogle at the Pole Dancers. Then wanted to go on the pole as well together-gether.

What are you saying? What do you look like? Catwoman tak jealous ka?

*** Part Edit Out. Too Controversial?*** 6:11pm

Are you looking for the best one?

Hmm. Catwoman, fantastic T-shirt. Certainly attracts attention.
Pixie told me she asked you "Left or Right?".

I burst out laughing. Now how would anyone answer that. Maybe Johnny Depp can.

But for the night, here's mine:

More updates coming soon to a KWSP near you.

Ok. Need to take a breather. My head hurts still from last night's big ass speakers and my eyes bleeding from that dude's white Gucci sandals.

Will be back later this evening for more ramblings such as:

1. Catwoman's T-Shirt
2. Pixie's Lesbianism
3. That dude with the White Gucci sandals
4. Pole Dancing
5. The DJ
6. The guests
7. The Filipinos
8. THAT place
9. Nymph night out
10. Papa Bear's Oogling

Interested? Just wait for it. Boy, am I gonna have fun. Hehe.

Run my child! Hurry now - for he MIGHT think you actually went out to party with your friends. HA????

Dear Butterfly, " Magandang gabi". Why? 12 Midnight curfew? Is it always "Oras na para matulog"?

"Kami ang pamilya mo"! He might not. Who knows? It's always been funny in the last few years is when we all go out, when the clock strikes 12, its like that Disney character, Cinderella. Poof! Disappears. Where to? In car. Why? "Saying, I am in bed baby. I wish you were here with me, on this bed. Holding me. I miss you. I love you so much. Come back soon IROG. Please... I am so lonely here in bed. I got nothing to do"

YEAH! Then when all of that is over, PARTEH!

Hehe. It's like Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men in 1992...

“The truth? You can’t handle the truth.”

New Character - Defined

Nymph. From One World.

Ah. I think Pixie asked me last night was this person ever defined in the blog. After much research, I think probably not. It was the time when Nymph was a away locked in her apartment being hung on doors and put on cupboards. Thrown from wall to wall. All in the name of Proton GTi Man [Still Undefined but what for lah - useless bastard if I ever saw one].

For someone who has allegedly repented to God at the holy land, she is one horny woman but somehow always control macho at the right place and time. Seems to prefer US Army fellas. Geez. Malaysian men - YOU HAVE NO CHANCE. And that dude at the Petrol Station, well "what were you thinking?"

Well, not right now anyway. She has a rolodex of men at the tip of her E71.

Sunday.

Its 10:47 PM on a Sunday evening. This is the point when you start pondering about the week ahead. About the day tomorrow. About how you start and when you end.
Just finished watching Manchester United beat their City counterparts 2-0. It was not the best game in the world but Ronaldo's reaction to being subbed worried me a little. Tevez could have been knocked out if he actually tried to head the last goal opportunity he had.

So now Arsenal take on Chelsea. Actually I do not care about that game at all come to think of it.

So about tomorrow - I have a meeting in KL at 5 - 7PM - That's not gonna be fun leaving. I mean I have not tried to leave KL at peak hours in recent years. I am sure it will not be fun at all. Better make sure I got my latest MP3s on in the car - The issue is, I don't have any really. So the drive back will be tough and stressful.

So what's in the brain right now? Breakfast, then Lunch. Honestly.

The other thing that is affecting me these days is the REALLY HOT weather. I dunno why it has been so hot lately. I just wish the weather this week will cool off.

Happy Mother's Day!

To all the Mama's out there, Happy Mother's Day!

But I do know that most of you who read this blog are not there yet! I am just waiting for you guys to get married, one by one. I don't know how soon though!

I have to say that being a Mom is probably the most difficult job in the world that does not get paid. I wonder if there was a salary, what would be the criteria, qualifications and salary bands. It's interesting isn't it?

One thing is for sure, the restaurants will make a killing today. Just like Valentine's day. So don't eat out. Eat in.

Good day Y'all.

DD got married and I never got invited.

Dunno why. Dunno why not. Dunno what gives. But I do know he has a damn nice new RX8. Bravo.

Pixie - How is life procuring?

Congrats to Pixie for getting a new job at one of the most prestigious banks in the country. Well, there are only 10 I suppose, if you count the local ones.

I hope life has been good for you. Your boss has been great to you and the work has been a blast. There you will learn a lot. Just have to look for things to learn about. Be strong. Be intelligent. Be hardworking and most of all, be honest. Everybody will want to know you coz you are in the money chain.

Catwoman and her Alphard.

I heard that you were in the market for an Alphard. Its nice isn't it? Won't do you much good if you don't have a family to fully utilize it though. So when is it? I saw one at Irene's wedding. Were you inspired by that nice looking van... oeerr, MPV?

If you select the Royal Lounge interior, it will look like this. Now, THAT I can imagine buying. Glorious. Beautiful. Luxurious. Relaxing... Long distance? No problem.

Just make sure you have a driver! And drop by our house at BJ.

Butterfly - "Magpakasal na tayo?"

Not from me but from your man. Has he asked you yet? Will he? Will YOU? When? Will there be nasi minyak? Or will it be Adobo instead?

chicken = adobong manok, pork = adobong baboy.

So where is the invite?

New Love.

Okay, in car terms. What the heck were you thinking?

The BMW 528i still remains - but primarily for drives at the weekend. Still love the drive, the build and the looks. Not too sure about the bills though.

So here is the new love. The Audi A4 (looking forward to the Q5 soon too! - heh).

This beast has a completely different feel to it. The pick up is just unreal. The drive so sweet. The build quality second to none. Its gorgeous. Its also unique - not many on the road.

So why not the e60 530i? Well, for one there are just too many 5 series on the road today. Its a beautiful car but its gonna be hard to find yours in most car parks today in KL. Am still a beemer fan, don't get me wrong but the next one has to be either the new Z4 or the X6. Since I cannot afford either, its gonna have to wait for now. :-P
